Mining in Kyrgyzstan - the case of Kumtor

An investigative look at the Kumtor gold mine in Kyrgyzstan, owned by Canadian company Centerra and partially financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Kumtor is most notorious for a 2000 cyanide spill, where tonnes of the deadly chemical entered local water sources, poising thousands of local villagers.
