Alda joined Bankwatch in 2001 and is Bankwatch's Latvian campaigner for sustainable use of EU funds. She works on integration of environmental issues into sector policies, monitoring of EU structural assistance and promoting NGO involvement into the planning processes.

Alda started her activities in environmental NGOs in 1997 and since then has worked as project coordinator for several NGOs, as a lecturer on international economy and as a chairperson for Latvian Green Movement and the Latvian NGO coalition Environmental Advisory Council. Alda is also a member of the NGO Advisory working group on EU Structural funds.

Alda holds a Master degree in economy from the University of Latvia. She continues master studies in environmental management.
